August 2024, part 1: earlier this month, my quartet ventured up to Vinalhaven Maine (a small island 15 miles off the coast of Rockland) to perform on the Fox Islands Concert Series. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting & memorable experience! Big thanks to Anastasia Antonacos for inviting, hosting, & assisting us from start to finish (she’s a logistics rockstar!), the FIC board for making this concert series possible, & to Rona Hokanson for making us feel so welcome on the island where her husband Leonard was born (Mr. Hokanson was a brilliant concert pianist who taught at my alma mater @iujsom for many years). And to @jesselewismusic , @ike.sturm & @adam.cruz.music : ever & always a joy & honor making music with you 🙏🏼
